
All-Evening Experience
An evening at Syttiseks is an experience unlike any other. Guests gather in the Gallery, where we serve apple juice made on-site from the old apple trees in our garden. We begin with a little of the venue’s history—past, present, and future. Strandgata is undergoing a remarkable transformation, and we’re already seeing what a treasure this street was, is, and will be. If there’s interest, the host will share the story behind creating the venue and the art that frames it all.
If the weather is good, we’ll take a short tour of the old garden—a delightful surprise for everyone who visits. The place is packed with stories guests love to hear.
We then gather in the original Stable, warmed and dressed for a celebration. The server looks after drinks while the evening’s pizzaiolo begins baking long-fermented pizza napoletana, served in a sharing style—i.e., one slice for each guest before we start the next round. The pizzas are baked in the large wood-fired Italian oven, to the delight (and entertainment) of our guests. It’s a little local and a little Italian—a tasting journey of new and familiar varieties that never fails to impress. Served this way, the meal stretches out in time, sparking lively conversation across the narrow long tables. We finish with our own homemade Syttiseks cake and coffee.
An all-evening at Syttiseks means you have the entire venue to yourselves for up to 5 hours, ending no later than midnight. There are no neighboring tables to interrupt—just an authentic setting with hosts who have a passion for Italy, pizza, and wine.
