This beautiful, spacious and well-designed apartment with free parking is a perfect base when you are going on a trip to Preikestolen, Stavanger, work at Forus or experience the region with its fjords, mountains and sea.
The apartment contains everything you could think of for a pleasant and relaxed stay. You have a view of the fjord, mountains and historical garden with the possibility of renting my boat.
As a host, I am almost always nearby and do my best to facilitate a memorable stay.
Welcome.
The space
Along a quiet road without transit traffic you will find this peaceful and historic place. The host is an artist with his own ground floor gallery and willingly shows off to interested guests. Guests have access to the entire garden with several screened-in spots for sunbathing, barbecues, fire pit and relaxation.
There is a short distance to the sea and 500 meters down the street you will find the popular "Damp Sauna" which is open all year from 9 am to 11 pm. New this year is the "Book Sauna" located 200 meters away on the other road.
I have a small 14-foot boat with a 15-horsepower outboard motor that is moored right next to the house. Guests can rent this from me on a daily basis for fishing and adventures.
This apartment has been thoroughly upgraded in winter 2025 and is very popular with many returning guests year after year. Previous guests' reviews probably say more than I can convey.
Guest access
The property is almost 3 acres with a large fruit garden and several screened outdoor spaces with barbecue, fire pan, greenhouse and outdoor furniture you as a guest have free access to.
There is spacious space and safe free parking of car at the property.
There is also a common outdoor terrace in the hallway outside the apartment.
Other things to note
The historic street is currently undergoing a significant upgrade to become an environmental street where only a direct bus route between Stavanger and Sandnes is allowed to pass. It is now closed to all other traffic except guests and residents of the place.
Note: Until April/May, construction work is ongoing in the street during the day on weekdays. There is no through traffic and the place is perceived as quiet with exciting views of a historic neighborhood that is being completely refurbished to its former glory.
Sandnes is one of Norways nicest cities. In the city center you will find the longest shopping street we have in Norway with all its small specialty shops you will love. There is also a rapid development of new eateries and wine bars for all tastes and price ranges. Kvadrat is Norway's largest shopping center and is 2 km away for those who will use the time under the roof.
The apartment is the perfect base if you are going to explore places like Preikestolen, Pulpit Rock, Kjerag, Trollpikken, Lysebotn, Lysefjorden, Stavanger city center and Fargegaten.
Outside the living room windows you see fjords and mountains that offer fantastic hiking opportunities. Dalsnuten is one favorite hiking destination and Lifjell for those who have a little more energy. The host is an active mountain runner and is happy to take guests on runs in exciting terrain.
The apartment is equipped with a 50¨TV with Netflik so you can stream your favorite shows.
